Flowers of my heart...

Remember the time when I got into the flowers frenzy...?

I've finally decided what I'm going to do with them :) I bought some buttons and extra large metal paper clips from Kerrie of www.jackobindi.com.au and they are so so FUN TO DO!!! so ADDICTIVE!!
The instructions are so clear and it requires no sewing...just fabric, buttons kits and the button maker tool..
The moment I received my parcel, I decided to experiment with them and came out with flowers bookmarks..

My flowers bookmarks..

I'm so in love with them :)

It actually matches the fairy...
Thanks KERRIE :) I'm so happy with them...

A garden of lollipops...

A new day, a brand new start..
It takes practice, practice and more practice..My sewing skills aren't perfect and often I will need to modify and think of various other strategies to make it work.. I guess this makes it unique in a way..For this project, I was inspired by the book Start to Applique by Nancy Nicholson. The instructions are easy to follow & understand..She has used felt and fabric but I have decided to stick to just using fabric. It took me awhile to complete the project due to the blanket stitch as it requires ultimate patience and concentration..I was having trouble with my joints and often had to stop between stitches.. Despite everything, I enjoyed the whole process of making the bags..

Felt bag [photo taken from Start to Applique]

I have decided to give it a try and here goes...

Bag with no zipper but with compartment..
At that time, the first trial, I forgotten to leave some allowances when cutting out the pattern and had to modify  the bag completely..I did not know about fusible fleece and was using normal batting..This was a little challenging especially when trying to bind both lining and outer layers together.
Bag with zipper and my me Ninot label...
I found is easier to use fusible fleece as well :)
It gives the bag more weight and easier to join the lining and outer layers together..

My garden of lollipops..

Close up of the bag... Fabrics were ironed on and secured with blanket stitch.

For now, both the bags are sitting patiently at mom's shop..
Hopefully, whoever who gets them will enjoy them..

Until then, have a great day ahead...

Loving you forever...

This was inspired by a Japanese magazine..
I wasn't able to sleep one night and decided to whip up two little dolls..
It was the first trial..the instructions were in Japanese and guess what I don't read Japanese...
All I could say is, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you...
You're my everything :)

Love never fails...

Flowers Frenzy...

One fine afternoon, I made these little gift bags for my three lovelies; Gina, Bel & my best friend, Ping...
I had three flowers lying around and decided to use them up to revamp three plain looking gift bag that I whip up in no time by just sewing up the sides..
Fast, easy projects...if only I had more of the pretty pink flower fabric..

Special Little Gift Bags for my lovelies :)

Flowers are once again inspired from Rashida's I love Patchwork book. I finally had an A-HA moment  that it will be much to easier to iron two fabrics together (back sides together of course) before cutting them after having to painfully trying to iron them together after cutting them first...
Should have read the instructions more precisely...
With this finally figured out in my head, I went into a flower-mania frenzy... I miss my flowers so much, I decided to make some more...

The mini workspace :)

Flowers....

More flowers....
I like to use polka dots as the backing fabric for the flowers..

But for now, these are all works in progress...
Will figure out something to do with the flowers soon :)

Stay Tune...

Until then, have an awesome weekend ahead....Remember to stop to breathe :)

Cute little bunnies....

As the bunnies hop into the new year,
wishing all of you a prosperous & awesome new year filled
with lots of love and blessings...

Bunnies & Carrots Tic-Tac-Toe

This was inspired by a Japanese sewing magazine. Enjoy :)

My Inspiration :)

When I was 15, my Mommy inspired me to sew. It all started out with an agreement of me helping her out at her shop means I can do as many ballet classes as I want.. I'm so glad I stuck to it cause now I LOVE SEWING!!!  It started out with sewing applique hearts and the projects got bigger and bigger..to creating my own quilts..
Blast from the past...

However, due to space and human resources limitations, I have learned to love creating mini projects and work with whatever fabric that I have. I only have a certain amount of fabric which I collected from Mommy  (thanks Mom) and the Yearly Craft shows..This means whatever I make, I can only make once depending on how much supplies I have which is good thing cause I will learn to not waste anything.. :)

Just remember that...

You're amazing just the way you are...
Inspired by Bruno Mars. A gentle reminder that you're so beautiful and you deserve to know it every day... There's nothing that I would change about you.

Inspired by Rashida :)

Having my daily dose of inspiration from Rashida's I heart linen blog, I found this awesome tutorial. I decided to give it a try and created my version for my two lovelies; Chrissie & Laura. The tutorial is so easy to understand and with the help of the photographic and simple to read instructions, I was able to create each purse in two hours while watching a movie.. A BIG THANK YOU to Rashida for making this possible for me...

Do check out Rashida's blog at http://iheartlinen.typepad.com/ It's so inspiring and her book
